High school dancers have taught dance classes and volunteered over a thousand service hours to hundreds of underserved kids at the Boys and Girls Club and the Mary Hall Freedom House.

Boys and Girls Club

In 2007, Amanda and Jenna Harris created a dance program at the Boys and Girls Club, where high school volunteers taught a weekly jazz class to 25 students (ages 6-9). For five consecutive years, the class performed at The Westminster Schools' Spring Dance Concert, involving dozens of high school volunteers. After Amanda's graduation, Margaret Wilson and Remi Matthews continued the dance-outreach program at the Boys and Girls Club with the support of Westminster.

Mary Hall Freedom House

Amanda and Jenna also created a dance club (Freedom Dancers) at the Mary Hall Freedom House, a residential homeless shelter for women and their children. For four years, volunteers taught the dance group several weeklong workshops. Amanda choreographed and arranged for the dancers to perform at the annual Mary Hall Christmas Celebration. In 2012, Sarah Perlis arranged and choreographed the Christmas dance.
